6/25 YTV Hit List special
YTV Hit List is ending and they will be airing a Series Finale on Thursday, June 30th @ 9:00 pm/ET and Sunday, July 3rd @ 8:00 pm/ET. Among other artists, the finale will feature the Moffatts [old clips most likely]. They also have a contest to win a huge fan pack of CDs, autographs, memorabelia and more, though wether there are Moffatt items in it no one knows. Check out the show to find out how to enter!

11/10 thebostonpost.com?
Recently, the official website stopped working and instead pointed to a page saying 'this account has been suspended'. The band is busy working on other things right now, and will not be searching for a new host and putting the website back up for a while. In the meantime the URL will be pointing to scottmoffatt.nu, rather than the suspension page. Once again, the band has not split up.

10/14 Interview with the new band
Click here to read the interview "Definitely not The Moffatts", that Clint, Bob and Scott did with the Province in Calgary on October 4th. To see it online you have to be a subscriber to the newspaper - I found the article posted on walkingbehind.com's message board which said it was copied from someone else. If you were the one to pass it on originally, please contact me if you want credit.

10/10 Some clarification
I have been asked to clarify that it's not The Moffatts performing on the Holiday Train, it's Scott, Clint and Bob Moffatt. Although the CPR website refers to them as a reunited Moffatts, it won't be the Moffatts without Dave in the lineup.

I'd also like to underline that this isn't a live concert per say, like CPR refers to it as. The Holiday Train is a benefit show consisting of Christmas songs only. In other words, the guys will not be performing any of their old songs. The shows last aproximately half an hour, and the guys might be on stage for about 10 minutes, singing alone or with other performers. Don't expect a Moffatt concert even though that is what CPR makes it sound like.

10/7 THE MOFFATTS
The Moffatts are reunited, though without Dave, and will be doing a two week long cross-Canada tour with the Holiday Train this December. Tentative tourdates, which are subject to change are:

Dec 5 - St. Therese and Park Avenue, Quebec; Cambridge, London, Smiths Falls, Ont.
Dec 6 - Belleville, Trenton, Ont.
Dec 7 - Mactier, Parry Sound, Shawanaga, Sudbury, Ont.
Dec 8 - Chapleau, White River, Ont.
Dec 9 - Mobert, Heron Bay, Marathon, Schreiber, Nipigon, Thunder Bay, Ont.
Dec 10 - Dryden, Kenora, Whitemouth, Ont., and Winnipeg, Man.
Dec 11 - Portage La Prairie, Brandon, Man.
Dec 12 - Broadview, Indian Head, Regina, Moose Jaw, Sask.
Dec 13 - Swift Current, Sask., Medicine Hat, Brooks, Alta.
Dec 14 - Ponoka, Leduc, Edmonton, Alta.
Dec 15 - Red Deer, Olds, Didsbury, Airdrie, Calgary, Alta.
Dec 16 - Canmore, Banff, Alta., Golden, B.C.
Dec 17 - Revelstoke, Sicamous, Notch Hill, B.C.
Dec 18 - Chase, Kamloops, Ashcroft B.C.
Dec 19 - North Bend, Aggasiz, Haney and Port Moody, B.C.

Some more information can be found on the Holiday Train website, under news for October 4th. [credit: ppe]

9/26 WON'T BACK DOWN
There haven't been anything to update about during the last few months, but there have been plenty of rumours. There's very little we can confirm or deny, but one thing is for certain and confirmed by the band: The Boston Post still exist. Whatever you hear, the band is still together, and Scott and Shawn are the best of friends. There are no immediate plans for another tour or a CD release, however.

9/26 eBay auctions
If you frequent eBay you may have spotted a few auctions for the Boston Post LP, as of yet untitled. Please keep in mind that purchasing this CD gives no money to the band whatsoever for their music - not to mention the seller is asking insane prices.
The tracklist of the eBay CD is as follows:

01: Working At A Disco
02: What Do You Care
03: The Boston Post
04: Eighteen
05: Hong Kong
06: I Don't Remember Hurting
07: Burnmik
08: I've Been Waiting
09: Quicksand
10: Fall Is Almost Here
11: Little Dots In Space

Word has it that the original LP didn't have Working At A Disco, and that this song has been added later on after a studio version was recorded. The LP was finished before It's 99 PM, hence Likewise not being on it.

9/26 For the fans
As a present to the fans still hanging in there and waiting for the Post to return, Amanda of scottmoffattonline.com and I are each putting up a bootleg mp3 from the Lee's Palace show back in January, 2003. This show was 19+ and very few fans were there [Hi Amelia], in other words there's no screaming. Please keep in mind that no one taped this show but me, so if I see these mp3s hosted anywhere else, there's no chance in the world that I'll do something like this again. Please link to scottmoffatt.nu, no direct linking.

Avilable here is Little Dots In Space - Live @ Lee's Palace, head on over to SMO.com for Personal Jesus.

9/26 Where'd everything go?
Older news have been archived, as they are no longer relevant. If you did not receive your tshirt, please email me at kristin [at] scottmoffatt dot nu, and I'll see what I can do to help you out. If you still haven't joined the livejournal community for fans of the Boston Post, I encourage you to. News, rumours, discussions and the likes are posted there.

10/7 Domain updates
Check out the livejournal community for news, I won't be able to post a lot here since I'm going to the shows and I'll be away from my computer.

11/11 TSHIRTS AGAIN!
Keep checking the official site, soon there will be a note up explaining the delay in sending out CDs! Please spread the word to everyone who's ordered a CD so everyone will know, thank you!

11/11 December Tour!
The band is playing once again at The Reverb in Toronto, Ontario, on December 9th [Although the club's website doesn't have it up yet]. The show will most likely be all ages [not confirmed] and tickets are $10 at the door. There will be a presale as well. This is promised to be the first of several shows in Ontario before Christmas. [credit: The Post MB]

10/29 New members!
Steve Hotchkiss and Ryan Lynch from Star67 have joined The Boston Post, playing bass, keyboard and percussion. [credit: The Post MB]

10/22 What now?
Jon is back in Calgary. Shawn and Scott have moved to Ontario, where they will be staying until they begin recording their first album. Jon's planning to move to BC, but will fly out to record the album when the time comes. The band is not splitting up, even if there are rumours out there saying so. During the interview in Milton, we talked to them about this and they are taking a well deserved break before recording.

10/18 REGARDING THE TSHIRTS!
A lot of people have wondered how come they sell the tshirts at shows when it says Limited Edition on the online selling page. The band explained that there are 160 shirts only, no more will ever be made like these with the Metallica font logo. 80 are available signed and numbered online [ie 24/80] and 80 are avilable at shows where you can get them signed in person. The shirts are supposedly slightly different as well, though no one knows what the differences are yet since the online shirts haven't been sent out yet as the band's on tour. Eventually, there will be shirts available with the band's logo on it, but not for some time yet.

10/18 The CD delay
The band knows that a lot of you havce been waiting for your CDs a long time now, and they are very sorry about the delay. It's completely out of their hands, and all they can do is wait for the shippment to get to them. They don't have any CDs for sale at shows either and they're losing a lot of money on that. As soon as the CDs arrive, they will be sent out to those who ordered.

10/18 Boston Post on tour
The band is touring, check out tourdates for details! Stay tuned for more shows being added as well.

Oct 13-15th, Ottawa, Barrie & Kingston
The guys headlined in Ottawa and were one of the opening bands at the other two shows. The setlist stayed the same, they only varied the order of songs slightly. In Peterborough on the 10th though, there were so few people there that they only did Likewise for almost an hour, stretching the song out and playing with it. In Ottatwa they extended Likewise by several minutes as well. In Kingston Scott performed the entire set shirtless.

We have audio from every show save Hamilton and Peterborough, but Scott's bass is so loud it distorts the sound and the files will have to be edited to fix that before clips can be put up. The only pictures available so far are from Kingston, but Jen will have her gallery up shortly and once I get back home I will scan all my photos as well.

Oct 7th, The Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto
The guys opened for Tallman along with two other bands, Grasshopper and Idle Sons. No CDs yet.

Setlist:
I Don't Remember Hurting
It's Over
Youth Leaves With Pride
I Countdown
Social Skills
No Love Lost [cover of Joy Division]
Likewise

They wanted to do an encore, but there wasn't enough time, sadly.

Oct 6th, The Underground, Hamilton
The guys opened for Turn Off the Stars along with two other bands. They sold three different kinds of tshirts, the same as are offered on the website although not signed and numbered. They did not have CDs, as the new shipment of better quality CDs is still delayed. They're expecting it to arrive any day now though, so hang in there!

Setlist:
It's Over
I Don't Remember Hurting
Youth Leaves With Pride
I Countdown
Social Skills
No Love Lost [cover of Joy Division]
Working at a Disco
Likewise

The lineup was rather unusual, as the new bassist wasn't able to make it to the tour and Clint's busy with Hidell. Scott played bass, Jon played guitar and Shawn drums. They were acompanied by their friend Dan, who's making a documentary video about the Boston Post.

New Songs on Mp3:
These are just clips, to hear the full songs you have to go see them live. ;) Have some decency and don't steal these and put them up on your site. I'm the only one with permission to use them so far, so anyone else who has them up stole them.

I'm the Blind [494 Kb]
It's Over [456 Kb]
I countdown [576 Kb]
Working at a Disco [538 Kb]

New Music West:
BP played on May 22nd at New Music West in Vancouver at The Royal. Since the new bassist wasn't able to make it, Clint Moffatt from Hidell filled in again as temp bass player. The band performed a 30 minute set at 10:30pm, starting as usual with I Don't Remember Hurting and Likewise. They also played 4 brand new songs.

Setlist:
* I don't remember hurting
* Likewise
* I'm the blind
* You say it's not over 'til it's over, well it's over
* I countdown
* Working at a disco

The last four are the new ones and the song titles aren't decided on yet. Didn't think they'd get a title longer than Dying in a Van on the way to the Theme Park, but I guess they did. ;)
Scott would also like to spread the word that he no longer poses for photos except on stage. Please respect that and don't ask him. More photos can be viewed over at SMO.com & Burnmik.com. [Many thanks to the Purple People Eater]

NEW SHOWS!
Shawn said that BP will be playing at Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Dr. Noh, the band Neal played/plays in will also be there! BP are scheduled to play at the 360 on February 27th. Set time is at 9:15 pm. Also performing is: Jessie Farrell, The Miniatures, Six Foot Daisy, The Livid & WDC. The 360 is a 19+ club and you need to have a CMW wristband or a pass to get into this show, plus pay a 6$ cover fee. So it's $44 altogether. [Many thanks to Jen and Shawn :D]

Also: February 24th and 25th, there will be shows at Campbell Street Station in Sarnia, Ontario, also 19+. Tickets for those show are however, quite a bit cheaper: $5. ;)

Once again, Jen is sharing her pictures of the band, this time from the show at Derbys last night. And again, she won't allow these pictures displayed any other place than here at sm.nu & at smo.com, so please, don't crop her tag off and put them up on your own website.

Setlist:
I Don't Remember Hurting
Likewise
Personal Jesus
The Boston Post
Little Dots
Feel Me Out
Dying in a Van
Hong Kong
Like a Fly
Quicksand
Burnmik

Scott said that the full title of Like a Fly is "Like a Fly on my Window Pane". [Thanks Jen & Scott!]

I just wanted to say thanks to Jen, Courtney, Erin, Ashley, Andrea, Sean, Brandy, Brenda, Andrew, Manda, Marnie, Scott Z. and Jen & Mandas families for making the Canada trip a memory for life. A special thanks to the Tuuli girls for an awesome concert & mini sleepover afterwards! And... Thanks, boys.

Lack of updates, yes I know. This is because of the other project I mentioned before. Sorry bout that, but here's a treat for you all. Jen was at the GT show yesterday and got her pictures uploaded on her webpage already. And she also won't allow these pictures displayed any other place than here at sm.nu & at smo.com, so please, don't crop her tag off and put them up on your own website. Yes, that's a direct message to you two, Dana and Erin. So please behave this time, alright?

Also notable is that they played Dying in a Van on the Way to the Theme Park as the last song at GTs, after Burnmik. The song has not been played since the Club Phoenix Concert on January 7th, as far as I know. [Thanks Jen, and thank you for the setlist, Shawn!]

Tickets are $4 CAD. The Reverb show is also with Breathe and Star 67 and tickets will soon be available at ticketmaster for $12, or $15 at the door. I'll update with more info on the Front 54 show as I get it, all I know so far is that it'll also be with Breathe and Star 67. [credit: BP and Manda]

The hard drive scottmoffatt.nu was on developed permanent fatal errors before the weekend started and has been down since. Because the hard drive was badly damaged, the tech workers are trying to extract the files from it but up until now they've had no luck. This means the board and the guestbook are gone until further notice, and all hostees will have to re-upload their pages from scratch. Atomhost are very sorry for this and appologize any inconvenience it caused. Bah.

The Boston Post performed their very first show last night in Bragg Creek, Alberta at the El Gringos restaurant. They will be doing a second show this Thursday & a third on Friday at a strip club on Golden, BC and then another show at El Gringos on Newyears. No further information about these shows are available, excetpt that the Newyears show will be for 45 guests only.

Fans have heard The Boston Posts very first single, Feel Me Out [which will be on the EP], on radio stations in London. It was most likely released to promote the show so tune your online radio that way and maybe you'll catch it! [credit: T.B.]

There are rumours lurking about that Neil Gupta whom used to play bass in the band Dr.Noh is going to be joining The Boston Post ever since the BandName.com profile on BP was uploaded, so I guess we'll see him at the London show and hear more about him shortly. Click here for a picture of him [Neil is on the left with dreadlocks] from the Dr.Noh homepage, and check out articles on the band in Capital Magazine [also has a movie/soundclip available] and in ChartAttack.

The Boston Posts first ever release, a limited EP with 8 6 tracks will be at the show on Jan 7th in London at Club Phoenix. At the show you'll also get information on where and how to buy it. Performing together with BP are Flicker and Breathe. They might add one more, so check the venue webpage for updates. You can buy tickets from Wednesday at ticketmaster.ca for $15 CAD or at the door for $5 more, as long as they last. [credit: BPs management helper]

January 7th, London, Ontario @ Club Phoenix. You've read it elsewhere, Im sure. [Thanks BP]

Yes, it's up elsewhere, and you've all probably heard it already. But now it's up here as well with permission from Manda, so if you haven't downloaded it, go do so. The Boston Post interview. Also uploaded are the soundclips from the interview as separate files with permission from the band. [Thanks SMO.com & BP]

Picture:
Stolen by Aiesha
Stolen by Aiesha who hacked Shawn's computer.

This is not a Pusch domain and I don't put Pusch info up here, but I've been asked by a friend if I could please host one of her three soundclips of recorded Pusch songs. The songs are all linked from her website, as well as from taintedfate and shining-illusions.com so go download if you're into Pusch or wanna hear what they're like. *Pusch - Magazine.mp3 [clip] from the upcoming album* ...not called Undertow. Haha. [Thanks so much, Jessie]

Go over to Scottmoffattonline.com to listen to an interview with the Boston Post, on mp3. They talk about the songs they've recorded, and you get to hear song clips from 'I Don't Remember Hurting', 'Hong Kong', 'The Boston Post and 'The Fuck Song'.

The Boston Post are done with their CD, but it still needs some slight touch ups before it's ready to be released. A tour of US college campuses is planned but won't be until next year. Also, the rumours about a single having been released are false. There is no music officially released yet. [Credit: Aiesha]

At the Cope show Oct 30th, they played a few of The Boston Posts songs without announcing what it was, but ex-Moffatt fans present recognised Scotts voice. Hopefully this means a CD is around the corner! [Credit: too many to count]

Updated otm and added a guestbook. Took me forever because MegaBook suddenly stopped working, and refused to act rational with me, and even the guy who made the script wasn't sure wtf was going on. So I'm using a PHP one now. Veeeeery fancypants. Hopefully it won't just stop working one day. ;) Also added Scottmoffattonline.com as an affiliate to the right.

Updated cliques, splash and links. Needed a good cleanout of them after l-s.com and mo.com went byebye. However, check out the brand spankin' new Submodalities.com!!! The MOC ain't dead yet!

The MOC Tracer has moved from being a subpage of Fastimes Fan into it's own folder, as the site has gotten quite popular. You can go there and look up old fiction writers and site owners of the MOC, and see where they are now and what they're up to. Recomended!

Did some digging and found out about Shawn and Jons past in the band 'The Edna'. Thank you so much KT [<3] for helping me out!!!

Amanda's interview with the guys are up. Such funny reading. I love their attitudes. Go the world domination! :D

If you have any news throw it my way by using the form to the right. Much appreciated. :D

Scott is 'playing with a band that include none of his brothers' and 'heading in an alternative Radiohead direction', according to his father Frank in an interview with a newspaper. I recommend to all that you read it, it also talks about the possibility of the four guys to come back together as a band, with a new name, some time in the future.
